The O’Brien’s Triangle of MAD CASH

The Shoegazer, lucky.
This bill was spotted almost immediately after entering the bar. Interesting side fact - about six years ago The Shoegazer found a crisp $50 bill lying on the ground right outside this bar. Perhaps O’Briens is part of a portal or Bermuda Triangle for lost money turning up.

Reef Cafe

I’m personally particular to Rami’s over in Brookline but Hidden Boston digs the Reef Cafe.
The falafel sandwich is something special, with hearty falafel balls mixed with pickles, tomatoes, yellow peppers, and tahini sauce, all wrapped inside a fresh pita rollup. Reef Cafe’s falafel, by the way, is made with both fava beans and chickpeas (rather than just chickpeas), as is often the case with Lebanese-style falafel.

Science Metropolis is dispassionately rational about their mouse problem.
Although our location in Allston’s “student ghetto” could be blamed for our mouse problem, Boston does have a reputation for its rodents, even scoring number 3 in the New York Times’ 2007 Rodent Risk Assessment. Numbers on the extent of the city’s infestation are difficult to find, although research by public health experts studying the relationship between asthma and pests have found high percentages of affected households.

Lounge, down

Ryan from RSL on the closing of the Paradise Lounge.
If anyone has ever attended an over-packed summer show in the Paradise Lounge, they know how horribly bad the ventilation was in this joint. I went to a show there last summer where everybody lost five pounds of sweat.
To be honest, losing a live music spot of the size of the Paradise Lounge really isn’t the end of the world. We have those places and there will be more.
