Bad night on Parkvale
Posted by nathanael. Filed Under crime
I pulled up to the house tonight to find a hysterical crying woman outside the window. Someone had just pulled a knife of her as she walked her dog, then run up Parkvale towards Glenville. I stayed with her and called 911. BPD came very quickly.
After they walked her home I walked up Parkvale towards where the other cruisers had raced off to. Five of them were blocking the street. The closest one had someone in the back matching the description she had given me to tell 911 but they let him go, apparently not the guy.
As we waited it became clear the guy had grabbed a second woman further up the block – from what I overheard she didn’t see the knife. She wasn’t crying but looked (righteously) angry. Lots of cops going through the bushes with flashlights.
And then they left. Another neighbor said they pulled another guy out of one of the backyards on the even side of the street. My internet is still f’ed but obviously will be looking for more on this tomorrow.
All in all, a very upsetting night. I really hope they got the right guy. And I hope the sick fuck gets time. I don’t feel objective about this at all right now.
UPDATE: the arrest report.
