CAS Senior Evan Walters tries to figure out the next piece to add to his ice sculptures. He and his housemmates of 16 Ashford St stacked pieces of ice and formed them with a large knife. The 12 BU students who live at the house are known on the block for collecting free things from craigslist and displaying them in the yard, including a bath tub, a chicken coup and even a boat in the backyard.

(Also, I think this house is Chi Phi rather than Chi Pi.)

When are people going to learn DONT let the plain clothed officer into the house. For god sakes there is no fucking way any college kid can possible thing the “plain clothed” officer is a legit college student, I mean the guy wears the same fucking thing every week and carries a fucking walkie talkie. WHO THE FUCK brings a walkie talkie out, that should be the first clue. Second, this guys is old, not uber old but old to enough to be able to distinguish him out from even the largest of the mobs of students on ashford; He’s not fucking waldo.

This particular bike has integrated self-powered headlights.

Next came time to add the function. Joshua Wright, our go-to electrical engineer, alongside Aaron designed a unique one-off bit that was missed by anyone who just breezed by. With the help of Aaron’s machine work and Joshua’s fervor for LEDs we integrated two lights, one in the fork and one in the seat post, that are powered through the front generator hub. Using a capacitor so that Bianca didn’t lose her beams every time she stopped at a red light, as well as a cored out bass guitar string internally routed through the fork and seat tube.. Joshua and Aaron had put the finishing touch on that perfect harmony of fashion and function.

That’s sweet.

OVERNIGHT: Man stabbed at Blue Hill Ave and Woodville at about 1:40AM. 5 people stabbed at Brighton/Harvard Av at about 2:30AM.

UPDATE: The Boston Channel has more information. Nobody dead, thankfully, but one in serious condition.

UPDATE 2: One killed. Sad day.

One person was killed and four others were wounded following a stabbing in Boston’s Brighton/Allston neighborhood.

Police said they responded to the intersection of Brighton and Harvard Avenues at about 1:45 a.m. Sunday.

There, they found five people suffering from stab wounds — two of them left with life-threatening injuries. One of those victims, a male in his early twenties, died after arriving at the hospital.

Police have arrested 23-year-old Mitchell Martinez on charges including murder and assault and battery.

Police were called to Ringer Park in Allston on Feb. 5 at approximately 3:29 p.m. to investigate a report of a fight between two young women that about 15-20 males were videotaping.

Officers canvassed the park area and found a small group of females leaving, walking toward Gordon Street. One girl was suffering from several scratches on her face that were bleeding. The 16-year-old girl said she had been in a fight with unknown suspects, and that the boys were taping it for broadcast on YouTube.
