Two scoops? Herrell’s is converting into the Allston Cafe, and I’m enjoying the animosity projecting from those who hate either the idea or the dirty, dirty people who came up with it (conveniently ignoring the consensus dumping a teddy-bear’d chain concept is of course the dead-right thing for the community). Feel it burn in the boglo comments. Fun stuff.

Look at me. I’m wearing black. I’m so bloody hip. I saw the Cure once.

Just a reminder–looks can be deceiving. Our tatoo love boys and girls at Herrell’s are perfectly capable of serve-safe; anyone can look “healthy” and have hep, etc. Professional tatooing is conducted in clean environments using sterile, single use equipment.

Of course, if you prefer not to eat/drink/socialize at Herrell’s you can easily move on to Steve’s, Twin Donuts, Second Cup Cafe, After Hours, Harvard Street Cafe, Bagels Rising, or Tea Infusions. And if you have no tolerance whatsoever for an experience outside of your expectations, there’s always Dunkin’s.

Oh, and I saw the Cure twice!!

For the record, I would happily take ice cream from Robert Smith’s ever capable scoop.

I have not read anywhere how Allston owners commented about what I heard from an honest source. Allston Cafe owed Herrell’s lots of back money. So, bad mouth instead of paying up. Sounds right to me!

Eric – I’m as much a fan of random internet defamation as the next guy but absent some published record on this we’ll have to just wait and see. For now I think it’d be best to give them the benefit of the doubt.
