Now that’s greco-roman.
Posted by nathanael on March 5th, 2010. Filed Under Photo of the Day, quality of life
Given Adam’s Trojan Horse post, here are some amusing background photos from the (presumed) folks in question. I’ve found you gotta write your own jello wrestling waivers into those leases right upfront.
Also, this is a couple years old so a new generation is living there now, but for historical purposes.
CAS Senior Evan Walters tries to figure out the next piece to add to his ice sculptures. He and his housemmates of 16 Ashford St stacked pieces of ice and formed them with a large knife. The 12 BU students who live at the house are known on the block for collecting free things from craigslist and displaying them in the yard, including a bath tub, a chicken coup and even a boat in the backyard.
(Also, I think this house is Chi Phi rather than Chi Pi.)
Oh also, this.
When are people going to learn DONT let the plain clothed officer into the house. For god sakes there is no fucking way any college kid can possible thing the “plain clothed” officer is a legit college student, I mean the guy wears the same fucking thing every week and carries a fucking walkie talkie. WHO THE FUCK brings a walkie talkie out, that should be the first clue. Second, this guys is old, not uber old but old to enough to be able to distinguish him out from even the largest of the mobs of students on ashford; He’s not fucking waldo.
UPDATE: Per M’s pleasant request, I took the photo down. Sorry if I offended, & best of luck sorting things out.

what right do you have posting that photo. unless you’re the person who took the photo (which you’re clearly not) you have no right to post this photo.
Hey Erin – It was posted on a public album, with no exif or other information indicating a copyright. So yeah, it’s my understanding that I can use this, particularly as it relates to this news story.
But if it’s specifically yours and I’ve misunderstood, I’d consider taking it down (particularly if we’re talking about it in a normal civil manner).
Regardless, I just thought it was a little amusing, not offensive or whatever. But I can see where it might be a stressful time for people living at that house right now.
get your facts straight. half the info in that blog is very outdated anyway. if you have something to say, try making sure you don’t end up making yourself look uninformed first. finally, wise up and dont take things out of context (that picture, for example.) Get a life.
nathanel,
please remove the photo. The boys are going to have enough hell dealing with the administration and the ridiculous amount of lies the police have already told through their police report. This photo just makes things worse.
Ok, sure. It wasn’t my intention to make things worse for anyone, like I said I just thought it was amusing. I’ve replaced it with some real greco roman wrestlers who would obviously kick all our collective asses.
I think you should’ve left the old one up.
I’d worry less about you being ‘uninformed’ if I were you.
I’d worry more about being an arrogant neighbor with entitlement issues.
