For example, if you mix bread dough without adding baker&#039;s yeast, and let the dough sit out for a few days, it will eventually begin to rise.  (This is how to create a sourdough starter the first time.)  The dough will have picked up wild yeast, which eventually multiply in sufficient quantities to cause the dough to rise.

So banning yeast from your diet is outright impractical.  Ditto for bacteria.</description>
