What Up, Boston over at Great Scott’s Chili Chowdown…
There were so many varieties and so many different ingredients – pork, beef, bacon, porkbutt, lamb, goat (I kid you not) [again? -ed], pineapple, bacon, coffee, curry, beer, tequila, chilies, tomatoes, corn, hot dogs, steak, etc. etc. I was in heaven (…) Most of them were good, the goat curry chili was definitely interesting ^_^, and only a few were bleah.

The Boston Chili Takedown is going on this Sunday June 28th at 3pm, Great Scott. Love the poster, very Major Boobage.
On the weekend where “Food, Inc.” is released – hey, Upton Sinclair’s “The Jungle” is now a movie! – the first-ever Boston Chili Takedown hits Great Scott. If “Food Inc” eventually forces our culture to shun food completely, you know there will be some Prohibition-style underground taverns serving up barrels of chili away from the tyrannical grip of Johnny Q. Society. When those spring up, the folks behind the four-year-old, New York-based Chili Takedown will be at the root. Allow your stomach to play Risk with game-piece beans at the debut Boston edition of the Chili Takedown, where not only can everyone sample a ton of different chili recipes but also enter their own for prizes and bragging rights.
Also, potentially veggie friendly.
As is standard at the Takedown- there are NO RULES! Pork, Beef, Veggie, chilis are welcome. Bean or no-bean chili, also welcome!
